NLP is the psychology of excellence. Understanding NLP is like being given the manual for your brain. It enables you to become our own coach and weave magic into all areas of your life.

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming a bit of a mouthful (I know!) but if we break it down into its parts it really is quite simple.

Neuro: Relates to the structure our brain and how it works.

Linguistic: The language we use to make sense of our world and how we communicate it.

Programming: Simply refers to our habits of thinking.

NLP differs from traditional psychology. Traditional psychology focuses on what is “wrong” with people. It then, uses these findings,  to predict  and control future behaviour  through interventions.

NLP has a different approach. The founders of NLP  Bandler and Grinder were curious about “what  makes the difference between somebody who is merely competent at any given skill, and somebody who excels at the same skill?”

This lead to the development of  a remarkable set of strategies, based on the understanding that  when you change HOW you think, you can change WHAT you think. We know  that by changing how and what you think, you can dramatically transform the results you create in your life.

And instead of looking for what was wrong with people, NLP looks for what is “right”.  It  recognises that each and everyone of us has something genius about being, uniquely us. Whether its the way you; make a cup of coffee, build rapport with people, walk into a room with confidence, bring laughter into a space or sing, dance, build, write, create, cook, run  or what ever your something special is. It’s your kind of special. YOU GOT IT!  and  NLP recognises this as “excellence”. We can refer to it as “Ness”

Stephen Covey said “Everything is created twice”. First in your mind,  (as an internal state) and then physically (as an external state). Firstly, you have the idea to create some kind of change in your life (internal). Then you physically action it by doing some research, finding out about NLP coaching and making an appointment (external). Or even more simply put, you think about a cup of coffee and then you make one.

In other words,  what and how we think creates our experiences. It also shapes the feelings we have about them. When we learn  new the tools and strategies to change our internal state, we  find  our external reality also changes to match our new internal state. It’s kinda like downloading a new app. It’s pretty simple when you know how.

NLP builds on your own unique-Ness (or excellence if you prefer) it combines this with the way you learn and make sense of you world to help you;

Change barriers and obstacles into  opportunities to grow and succeed.

  • Learn ways to overcome anxiety
  • Change limiting beliefs;
  • Dismantle Money blocks
  • Clear the root causes of negative feelings like; anger, sadness fear and guilt
  • Change unhelpful thoughts or habits
  • Make peace with past events and create the future of your dreams

And whats more! It will be fun (yip I guarantee laughter).  In your NLP sessions you will; learn simple, profound techniques to create the change you want. Change unwanted habits, transform negative emotions into positive feelings and generally improve the way you see yourself and the world.

As we wind up for the end you the year. I'd like to say THANK YOU for being part of YOGA CIRCLE.

Together we are whaunu aroha. The circle is not complete with you.

Each time you like a FB or insta posts, or  comments and share your voice on the page you make a difference to the online space we share.

As you watch, read or listen. And even as you scroll past a post Yoga Circle it means we are somewhat connected and that YOU are part of this special Circle.

Which means of course ... I AM HERE AND I BELONG 
Some of us live in the same town  and our lives are set up in such a  way that we get to see each other and share time and space, face to face  every week,  sometimes three or more times a week. 
We get to move together, to breathe together,  to take to the time to  connect to ourselves and each other. 
In this special circle (online and face to face) we create balance  and enhance our lives in meaningful  ways with the love and support  that is Yoga. .. that is whaunu  aroha. 
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being part of it.

P.s Saturday 10.00am 22 December is the last class before Xmas. There will be a class 9.30am on Thursday 27th across he road at Mander Park. 
Tree house yoga on the 23rd December (pm me if you are keen). Normal timetable  resumes on the 6th of January

Stuffed mushrooms 
Panko breadcrumbs 
Feta
Mix with a dash of milk and  olive oil.
Pepper

Remove mushroom stalks (little people LOVE to help with this) and stuff.

I topped with paramsan  cheese and baked on a lightly oiled tray for  12-14mins 220 degrees 
Served with fresh basil  and cherry  tomatoes
